Insurance

We operate a Plant cover Insurance Scheme for hired plant (ask for details). Premiums are charged at 10% of the Hire Rate with an excess of £25.00 or 5% of the valueof the item(s) stolen/damaged if greater. If you do not wish to avail yourselves of this scheme, we must insist on confirmation of this in writing. Hirers are responsible for all insurances relating to use of machines on the Public Highway.

Conditions

All plant and equipment hired is subject to the terms and conditions of either the C.P.A or the H.A.E Copies of these conditions are available for inspection and should be read before entering into a Hire Contract.

Safety

All machines are checked and electrically safety tested where applicable before hire. Safety instructions are supplied with each machine where available and instruction will be given if necessary.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU FEEL COMPETENT TO USE EQUIPMENT HIRED BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PREMISES.

Times

A day means a 24-hour period. Half-day hire rates are available at 60% of full day rates. Only available where day rates exceeds £10.00-. Half-days are 4.5 hours between 8.00am and 5.30pm. Overnight rate @75% day rate from 5.00pm to 8.30am.

N.B. Half Day and Overnight Rates not available at weekends or on Plant items coded P.

Deposit

All non-account customers will be asked to leave a deposit for goods taken on hire. these deposits will be refunded upon return of goods. Should goods be returned damaged or unclean, we reserve the right to retain the cost of any repairs/cleaning from such deposits. Unknown customers wil be asked to provide proof of identity. CCTV is in operation. Delivery and collection can be arrnaged at nominal charges.

Sharpening

Where applicable a sharpening charge will be made for all saw and cutting blades. points and chisels. The hire of drill bits includes a sharpening charge.
